Hey, Good Lookin’

Hey, friends! It’s been a while since I’ve dropped a Whink’s blog, much to your collective disappointment, I’m sure. But, rest assured, we’ve been bottling up that sweet, sweet coffee content for future release as we eagerly awaited today’s big announcement. After months poring over color palettes, mock-ups, and brand questionnaires, Kayla and I are happy to FINALLY announce the rebrand of Whink’s Coffee Roasters, truly the hottest rebrand since Dunkin dropped the Donuts!

Besides looking just absolutely incredible, the new brand will usher Whink’s into a new era of specialty coffee and consumer education. When Kayla and I started the company in 2020, we couldn’t possibly have anticipated the positive response from our local Alexandria community and beyond. To date, we have shipped to over 30 states, are shelved in a number of DC and Virginia establishments, and have been warmly welcomed into shops, pop-ups, and markets across the region. We have so enjoyed being a part of your morning routine these past 1.5 years and want to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported us with their patronage and kind words of encouragement.

At a professional level, this rebrand is a confident step forward to our long term goals as a brand, to be an authoritative voice in the specialty coffee industry and to be a more accessible and trusted resource for our customers, in their daily routines and in their search for high quality, thoughtfully sourced, and carefully roasted coffees. On a personal level, this rebrand signals to ourselves that we can take this passion a step further, that we can stand our own against the big names of the coffee industry.

I don’t mean to get too existential on you, but suffice to say that we are excited, eager, and passionate about what the future holds. This rebrand is just the next toehold in our larger climb up the mountain.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the creative talent behind this rebrand. Alex Adam of Boredom Kills Creative took our jumbled thoughts, dreams, and inspirations and transformed them into a brand which we are incredibly honored and proud to stand behind. We are thankful for his patience, his eagerness, and his relentless pursuit of design excellence.

We are so excited to share this change with you, and can’t wait to see what else the future holds.
